Flower Power Forever: My Love Affair with the Grooviest Era of All Time
If I could time travel, you’d find me barefoot in a field, twirling in a maxi dress, daisies in my hair, and Janis Joplin in my ears.
Theres something about the flower power era, the colors, the carefree rebellion thats always had me hooked. It was a time when people believed in peace, protested war, and wore patterns loud enough to start a revolution.
And honestly? I still want to live in that world.
Peace, Protest & Polyester
The late 60s and early 70s weren’t just about tie-dye and bell bottoms (though I proudly wear both). It was a time of radical change, where art, activism, and self-expression exploded into public consciousness.
I was so fascinated by the spirit of that era that I earned my undergraduate degree in political science, completely drawn in by the movements of the 1960s and 70s. Civil rights. Anti-war protests. Feminist waves. The energy, the urgency it all pulled me in like a vintage velvet curtain.
One of my professors was so convinced by my passion (and, let’s be real, my wardrobe) that he once stopped mid-lecture and asked, “Wait, did you actually grow up in a hippie commune?” I laughed, but I took it as a high compliment. My soul has definitely been there, even if my birth certificate says otherwise.
My Inner Hippie Lives On
Today, I keep that spirit alive through my love of vintage design, music, and especially the weird, wonderful, and wildly patterned kind. Ive made it my mission to collect and share that joy with anyone else who still feels the flower power beat.
Enter: my Eclectic Goods Curio Blind Bag.
A Blind Bag for the Bold
This isn’t your average mystery bag. The Eclectic Goods Curio is a vintage-inspired grab bag for the curious soul. It’s packed with kitschy, colorful, feel-good treasures, ”the kind of stuff you’d find in your coolest aunties attic or a 1973 glove box.
Each one is different, each one is fun, and none of it is exactly what you need ”but you’ll definitely want it.
It’s for the flower children, the vintage hoarders, the journal junkies, and anyone who secretly wishes they were born in the Summer of Love.
Keep the Vibe Alive
Whether you’re collaging in a junk journal, decorating your studio with groovy scraps, or just vibing with a Fleetwood Mac record and a lava lamp you’re part of the movement. The one that says: more color, more connection, more curiosity.
So yeah, maybe I studied politics, but my real platform? Peace, paper goods, and a whole lot of pattern.
Stay groovy,
Spread love,
And snag yourself a blind bag full of bliss right here. [Link to product]
